![]() Naberezhnye Chelny is the largest railroad, motor transport and aviation junction. It is also well known for its port on the river Kama. The trains from Naberezhnye Chelny have a direct communication with Moscow, Ufa, Kazan, Ulyanovsk, Izhevsk, Bugulma and Adler. A river port is capable to dock “river-sea” type cargo and passenger vessels. It is also well equipped for processing and storage of containers and cargo. The most important enterprise of the city is a Joint Stock Company of Kamaz which specializes in production of trucks Kamaz, diesel engines, petroleum products cisterns, buses and spare parts for cars. The energy Kamaz truck branch is presented by Naberezhnye Chelny Heat and Power Plant and a Lowe-Kama Hydro Electric Power Station and also enterprises which service thermal, electrical and engineering communications. Naberezhnye Chelny KBK is the only producer of paper and corrugated
containers in Tatarstan. Broad spectrum of products from raw materials
is produced there. Naberezhnye Chelny is also one of the largest centers
of food processing industry. The industrial zone unites such companies
as a Meat packing plant, Milk processing factory “Sot”, Bread bakery
“Chelny Hleb”, fish and seafood packing plant “Holod”. Products of a
poultry processing facility “Tukaevskaya”, mushrooms grown in the State
farm “Vesenny” and meats and sausages produced in “Hladokombinat” are
